In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Just a mama desiring to be light for other families experiencing this adventure called cancer. This all in hopes of honoring the memory of her sweet boy Emerson 'Mac', who brought so much joy, and led many to hope in that which is not of this world.
ALL ABOUT MAC'S ADVENTURE
If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. Isaiah 58:10
Adventure is defined: as an unusual, typically hazardous, experience or activity. I chose to make Emerson's diagnosis of AML into an adventure, although at times it may not have felt as such. However, Mac was such a delight and despite all he endured he brought such joy to us. Since our sweet boy passed away, I realize that there is no better way to honor him but to provide for other families.
WHAT WE DO
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.1 Peter 4:10
Many families are provided with several medical supplies that are used for various needs for their children. Often times the supplies are:
*given in excess
*go unused once not medically necessary
We hope to collect these unused products and provide them to needed medical facilities for their patients.
In the many hospital stays with Mac, I learned that simple things made the stay slightly easier (warm blanket, comfy socks, yummy treats). This program is set up to provide a little bit of comfort.

We hope to walk with you during this journey. Mac was prayed on by so many people around the world. It was such a blessing to know that even out of the mouths of little one’s, Emerson’s name was spoken and prayed for. Bringing your petitions before our Lord and Savior, would be our privilege.
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4
BEHIND THE MAC
On June 6th, 2019 my family and I were blessed with our third child, second boy, Emerson. We were beyond overjoyed at our growing our family! Little did we know what God had in store for us.
God had such a story for our little Mac in store. Lots of doctor visits, a few trips to Houston and finally the diagnosis that any mother dreads...cancer. Now many people know of the most common side effect of chemotherapy: 🤮. Little did I know how much it would effect his skin. So I decided to throw together some natural ingredients, with a bit of my breast milk. The medical team was amazed at how well his skin responded. The chemotherapy basically burned my son’s skin, inside and out.
From that moment on I created multiple more batches until I found a perfect combination. I want to share my line with you.
Behind the name:
Mac. Well Emerson was my biggest baby, and since we had a recurring theme of our oldest kids names starting with an ‘Em’ (Emmanuel, Emelia) and their nicknames begging with ‘M’ (Manny, Mia) well it just made sense. Mac, like a Mack truck was given such a purpose by our Lord and Savior.

COME ALONG WITH OUR FAMILY
Mac's blog was started soon after his diagnosis with AML in November 2019. It was an opportunity to share his life as he went through treatments along with us enjoying him in our family. So come and share in stories that may leave you in tears or smiling and in laughter. Right below you will see our home life in pictures.
